What to Expect

What are your services like?

If this is your first visit to Carlisle Baptist Church, we encourage you to attend our Sunday Worship Service which occurs every Sunday morning beginning at 11:00 a.m.  You can find directions to the church here.

When you walk through the front door, you can expect to be warmly greeted by one of the church members or staff. You will be offered a church bulletin that outlines the service schedule on the back. After you walk past the greeters, the sanctuary is directly ahead of the front door entrance.

The service begins with greetings to the congregation and announcements for the week. There is an opening prayer followed by singing worship music. Then the offering is blessed and collected from the congregation. A member of the church will read the scripture verse relating to the sermon for that week. During the scripture reading, children walk downstairs to children’s worship service. The pastor will deliver the message for the week, and close with a song and a prayer. Parents are then encouraged to pick up their child from their respective classroom. Don’t worry about locating the classroom. Please let a greeter or church member know this is your first visit, and someone will glad you show you where to go. If you would prefer, your child may remain with you during service.

How long are they?

A typical Sunday Service usually lasts about an hour to an hour and half.

What is your style of worship music?

Worship music is mixture of contemporary and traditional music.
