What is saving faith?

“For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift–not from works, so that no one can boast.”
— Ephesians 2:8-9

Answer:

Faith is trusting Jesus to do things for you that you cannot do for yourself.

Faith is trusting Jesus to forgive you, to change your life, and to provide you a home in Heaven. Faith is not just believing with one’s mind certain facts about God. Nor is it merely knowing the answers to questions. Faith is trusting Christ alone.
