How does the Holy Spirit work in lost people to bring them to Christ?

“For God… has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.”
— 2nd Corinthians 4:6

The Holy Spirit convicts, calls, and enlightens the lost person.

He “convicts” people of sin and judgement, making them understand sin’s seriousness. He calls and attracts people to Jesus as Savior. He “enlightens” lost people; God “makes the light come on,” helping them to understand the truth and to “get it”.
