Do people simply make up their minds to become Christians?

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.”

For a person to come to Christ, God must first work in his or her heart to attract that person to Himself.

This is because people are sinful and do not want God to rule their lives. God must first melt their hard hearts and draw them to Himself.
