Welcome to my very first blog and blog post. I want to share with you what we are about here at Carlisle Baptist Church (CBC) because it is important to know WHO we are and WHAT we are about.  Everything we teach here at CBC is biblically based. Our over-riding goal is to connect people to what God says.

 

CONNECT PEOPLE TO GOD’S WORD

God is the Creator of the universe. He is also the Creator of mankind so He makes the rules. He knows how we need to relate to Him and to each other.  If we know what God says then we know how best to have a personal relationship with our Creator. This relationship cannot be based on what a person says or thinks but on what God says in His Word the Bible.

 

CONNECT PEOPLE TO EACH OTHER

God did not create us to be loners. We need other people. Other people can encourage us during difficult times, educate us when we lack sufficient knowledge, and build us up into becoming what God called & created us. We develop relationships with other to the point of learning to trust that they love us and have our best interest at heart. These relationships are just another way the Lord shows He loves us by giving people to walk with through this life.

 

CONNECT GOD’S PEOPLE TO THE WORLD AROUND THEM

God has given us opportunities to share Him with others. The more we know God the more we see the need for others to know Him. We know what He says and what He has done in our lives and that motivates us to share God’s love with those who are hurting or who don’t know His love & mercy. Only in a personal relationship with our Creator and Savior can we fully experience the life and love.
